西南化工研究设计院（简称西南院）始建于1958年，是集科研、技术开发、工程设计、工程承包、技术咨询、信息调研、产品生产和科技贸易为一体的原化工部直属的重点技术开发型院所。1999年7月由事业单位整体转制为科技企业，进入中国昊华化工集团总公司，被成都高新技术开发区认定为高新技术企业。
